The E+H Smartec CLD18 compact conductivity device is a cost-effective solution for all applications in beverage plants where small tubes are used and where the toroidal measurement is used as a switch function. The combination of a transmitter and a sensor is interference-free, easy-to-use and features a hygienic design that protects products and processes from contamination. The Smartec CLD18 device's fast and reliable cleaning-in-place (CIP) and phase separation measurements ensure the overall equipment effectiveness of a plant.

The Smartec CLD18 provides conductivity measurement in liquids with medium to high conductivity. The structure is made from highly durable, food-safe polyetheretherketone (PEEK). The excellent chemical resistance properties of the sensor mean it can also be used in applications outside the food industry.

In beverage applications, the CLD18 controls CIP processes in the return channel, controls concentration in remaking of CIP cleaning agents, monitors product in pipe systems and bottling plants, and monitors leakage.
