The ifm efector VTV Series Vibration Transmitter provides reliable, permanent monitoring of overall vibration according to DIN ISO 10816 standards. It is a compact device featuring an accelerometer and evaluation electronics that are self-contained within a robust stainless steel housing. The VTV series monitors RMS velocity (v-RMS) with a measurement range up to 50mm/s at a frequency range of 10 to 1000Hz, and transmits the information through a linear 4-20mA analog signal. This transmitter can easily be retrofitted to existing systems and can be used to detect common defects such as unbalance, misalignment, and looseness of machine elements.
The VTV121 model features a 0 to 50mm/s (RMS) vibration measurement range and can withstand ambient temperature conditions between -30 and 125°C. This model is cULcs certified for ambient temperatures <70°C and has IP67, IP68, and IP69K protection ratings. The VTV122 model features a 0 to 25mm/s (RMS) vibration measurement range and can withstand ambient temperature conditions between -30 and 125°C. This model is cULcs certified for ambient temperatures <80°C and has IP67, IP68, and IP69K protection ratings. The VTV12A ATEX model features a 0 to 25mm/s (RMS) vibration measurement range and can withstand ambient temperature conditions between -20 and 60°C. This model has ATEX II 3D and ATEX II 3G approvals for use in hazardous areas. The VTV12A has an IP67 protection rating, or IP69 when used outside the hazardous area.
