The Emerson AMS Trex 2 device communicator is a handheld industrial tool designed to allow field technicians to manage and troubleshoot instrument issues directly in the field. It has been re-engineered, offering faster response times, greater processing and storage capacity, and an intuitive user experience. The device is built to last in harsh industrial environments, protected against moisture and extreme temperatures.
Technicians can diagnose device problems on the spot with an extensive, pre-installed library for over 2,500 HART, Foundation Fieldbus, and Bluetooth devices. A unique “Power the Loop” feature further streamlines maintenance by powering the field instrument directly, removing the need for external power supplies, loop resistors, or ammeters. The AMS Trex 2 features a durable 5.7in resistive touchscreen display that works with gloves. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity improves maintenance productivity and safety by enabling seamless wireless integration with Bluetooth devices using the new AMS Device Configurator App.
